U13 Green, Champions in Leamington!
2026 Keith Lindsay Memorial Tournament, Leamington, ON.
The U13 green Sabres were undefeated in round robin play, knocking off Lakeshore Blue, Lakeshore White and Essex Thunder, surrendering only 1 goal. Meeting Windsor Wildcats Blue in the semi-final, the Sabres faced their first bout of adversity with Windsor scoring in the opening minute of the affair. The Sabres got to work and controlled much of the play. The Sabres tie the game in the middle of the 3rd, on a shorthanded breakaway goal by Cadence McKenzie taking the game to OT. In 3v3 OT, the Sabres win on a Danica Burt shot, beating the goalie on the glove side. The Sabres met Windsor Wildcats Maroon in the championship. The Sabres went out in front taking a strong 3-0 lead into the 3rd on goals by Addy MacDonald and 2 from Cadence McKenize. The Sabres kept the Wildcats to one goal, earning the win! Congrats to the champs!
