Jordyn Krist

Jordyn’s hockey career started in Timbits boys hockey in Flamborough, at the age of 4, when she took on the role of goalie for her team during their playoff run and kept them on a winning streak.

When she moved to girls rep hockey with the Flamborough Falcons, as the lone goalie, she led her team to a silver medal finish in triple overtime at the OWHA Provincial Championships.

She played with the Burlington Barracudas before finding her home in Stoney Creek for the last four seasons including the last two years with the Junior Sabres.

Jordyn was selected to the U18 OWHA provincial high performance camp in both 2022 and 2023. Not only does Jordyn excel in hockey, but she also plays soccer, basketball, volleyball, flag football, badminton and tennis.

She earned Junior Athlete of the year after winning five city championships in a single year in five different sports for Waterdown High School. The following year, she was named Senior athlete of the year when she was only in grade 11.

Next year Jordyn plans to study education and kinesiology. Jordyn is truly grateful for the opportunities hockey has brought to her over her athletic career, cherishing the camaraderie and friendships along the way.

Jordyn would like to thank all of her coaches who mentored and supported her throughout her hockey career.

Erica Piotrowski

Erica has been a part of the Stoney Creek association since the age of 4.

She  would like to thank her novice, atom, peewee and midget coaches for helping her grow in the game she loves.  She would also like to thank Scott Elliot for keeping her motivated and feeling part of the team from an injury that kept her out for most of last season.

She will now be pursuing her education in kinesiology at the university of her choice.

Clea Hastings grew up playing hockey in Ancaster and came to the Stoney Creek Sabres in PeeWee where her team had a perfect league record.

Clea is continuing her education at Brock University with her goal of becoming an educator.

She wishes to thank her teammates over the years and coaches John LeMarre, Lee Bishop and Scott Elliott.

Karsyn started playing hockey at just 3 years old. Karsyn has been a Sabre for the past 11 years, only taking on a new adventure in her minor peewee year where she played for the Hamilton Huskies AAA team.

Karsyn has been blessed to be on many winning teams, winning multiple tournament, league and playoff championships but the highlights to her hockey career was winning two provincial championships and a national championship last season.

She has been heavily involved in the association organizing charity events and helping with younger programs. Hockey has taught her so many life lessons that she can take with her as she heads to Western University to study business.

Despite suffering a serious spinal injury, Karsyn's dedication to her team never wavered. In fact, the day she got out of the hospital, she was determined to come to the rink to support her teammates.

There is nothing Karsyn enjoys more than being at the rink with her teammates and coaches. They will be missed.

Jordyn learned to skate on a small backyard rink when she was barely 3 years old. She began playing hockey in Caledonia when she was only 4.

Jordyn played many sports when she was younger, but she fell in love with hockey.  She played 3 more seasons in Caledonia house league before moving to the Hamilton Hawks to begin playing rep hockey.

She spent the next 5 seasons playing for Hamilton and Ancaster before coming to Stoney Creek last season and joining the Esso Cup winning U18 Sabres. That will be a season she will never forget.

Unfortunately knee injuries have brought an early end to her season here with the Junior team. Jordyn hopes to take time after finishing grade 12 this year to recover from surgery, work and travel before deciding if she wants to move on with post secondary education or join the work force.
