Esso Cup 2024: Good luck North York!
Just a week ago North York defeated North Halton 5-2 to become Provincial Champions. Yesterday they played their first game at the Esso Cup, the U18 National Club Championships in Vernon, BC. The Ontario champions have less than a week to book flights, travel and get ready for Nationals. The Stoney Creek Sabres, 2023 Esso Cup Champions, would like to wish North York good luck in their bid to keep the cup in Ontario for the third year in a row!

The Sabres know what it's like. A rush of emotions, exhilaration, chaos in planning to attend a National Championship with 5 working days to plan the trip, talk to schools and wrap their minds around being Provincial Champions. Read more about North York's road to the Esso Cup here on the Hockey Canada pages.

Esso Cup 2024 schedule and rosters can be found here.

Read up on the Sabres' journey to bringing home the cup in 2023 here. Our best wishes for a great tournament go out to Maren Capannelli (North York #10, Esso Cup Champion 2023 with your Sabres) as well as incoming Junior Sabres for the 2024/2025 season: Addison Beaman (North York #52) and Laci Boyd (Northern Selects #18).
