U18 Green, Tourney Champs!
Sweetheart Champs!

Stoney Creek Sabres U18 Green went 3 and 0 in the round robin having faced Kingston, Waterloo and hometown rival, Stoney Creek Gold.  Finishing in first, the Green Sabres faced off against hometown Gold Sabres in the Championship game on Sunday morning.  Both Sabres teams were flying and exchanged goals in the second period.  After the 3 periods, the score was tied at 1 and OT was forced.  Chances at both ends but both goalies made incredible saves to force the Championship game to a shootout.  Both green shooters Briar Smith and Gioia Avolio found the back of the net to secure the win in a great battle from the two Stoney Creek Sabres teams.
