What is the cost of house league?

This season the cost is $650 per player. Many teams will also do fundraising for any tournaments they go to.

What is included in the house league fee?

Approximately 30 hours of ice time, jersey, socks, and lots of new friends.
(note: U18 and U22 have approx. 24 hours of ice and cost is $600 per player)

When does the season start?

The weekend of September 17th, 2022. As soon as we have the schedule, it will be sent to all registered players.

What days and times will my daughter play/practice?

There are no set days/times for house league. We try to give the girls as much ice as possible and as such there are varying days/times.  Our teams play as part of the GHGHL (Greater Hamilton Girls Hockey League).  This gives us the opportunity to play teams from Niagara Falls to Brantford.

I have 2 daughters that would like to play together because it’s their first year, can they do that?

Short answer, yes. We can make exceptions however, the younger player will need to play UP a level if approved as a player cannot play in a lower age group.

What team will my daughter be on?

This information will be given closer to the season starting - once registered you’ll receive all pertinent information to your email.

Can my daughter be on a team with her friend(s)?

We do our best to match the girls up with their requested friends - however, we also have to take into account skill and balance (ex. we cannot overload one team to honour friend requests). Generally, it’s not a problem.

FUNdamentals - U7 IP Program

At the U7 level we operate our Initiation Program according to the standards you’d find with Hockey Canada. It is skill based and has some game introduction but it is not run like a typical house league or rep program.
