Tourney winners at the Clarington Flames Shannon Houston Roehrig Memorial tourney!
The U15 Green Sabres were in hot territory for the Clarington Flames SHR memorial tourney this Jan 16th-18th. The Sabres skated to a draw with Kanata Rangers to open the round-robin. After handling the Georgina Golden Hawks and hometown Clarington Flames, the Sabres faced a second hometown Flames team in the semis and then in the finals, a third Clarington Flames team. The Sabres battled through a heated effort of physical play, penalties and a hostile Clarington fanbase to take the championship 3-2 and wrap up a tough weekend. Congrats to all the players and coaches and to netminder Charlotte Levie, earning her first tournament win as a goalie!
