Signed: Mallone to SUNY Canton!
Congratulations Madison Mallone on committing to continue your education and play NCAA hockey AND Lacrosse at SUNY Canton. Your coaches, team mates and all of us at the Sabres are so proud of you!

In coach Scott Elliot's words: "I am so proud of Madison and her accomplishments! She came to Stoney Creek two seasons ago and from the first time on the ice and then getting a chance to speak with her after, I knew she had clear goals that she was going to strive for. I was pleased to be a part of her journey. She comes to the rink each day and works hard to achieve her goals. I am very proud of her and her ability to follow through on her objectives. Congratulations Madison !!"

In Madison's words: "Overcoming challenges like my ACL surgery was not always an easy process. Getting where you want to go is not always a straight line. There will be bumps in the road, but if you put your mind to it and don’t let challenges define you, you can push through and accomplish many things!"

Madison's dad Fred's perspective on multi-sport: "For me, being a hockey coach and also a dad I’ve always instilled in my players and my kids to play other sports. Make yourself a well rounded athlete, take some time off. Remember that College coaches always ask “Do you play any other sports?”."

In Madison's words: "The only thing I really go by is you can be tired later, right now you have to work hard and make your family proud, even the ones watching from above. That’s all that really goes through my mind when i play."

Madison's dad's perspective on Stoney Creek: "I’ve always told Madison to find a coach you have a connection with, a coach who will push you and get the best out of you. As far as Stoney Creek Sabres my only complaint is we didn’t come here soon enough. What coach Scott and the Stoney Creek Sabres have done for Madison and the opportunity and doors they have opened for Madison are priceless."
