My name is Samantha Scott and I am excited to be the Head Coach of the Stoney Creek Sabres U18A team for the 2023-2024 season. My course of playing hockey began with the Guelph Gryphons A/AA level and in 2014 I then began playing for North Halton Twisters AA team. Throughout my experiences, I had the opportunity to go to the LLFHL Championship weekends and Provincials. In 2016 I received a scholarship to Northland College in Wisconsin where I studied Primary/Junior Education. In the 4 years at Northland College, we battled in the NCHA and WIAC divisions. As an inaugural team, I developed crucial life skills and a passion for the game that has impacted my coaching career. I began coaching in 2015 as a Head Instructor at The Zone Training in Guelph, Ontario. During this time I designed, and implemented engaging practice as well as coached during the leagues’ games. I continued my passion for coaching throughout the duration of my 4 years in Wisconsin where I was a Head Coach for Learn to Skate, Learn to Play, and a U13 Tier 1 Female team. I am excited to utilize my experiences, skills, and love for the sport this season for the Stoney Creek Sabres U18A team!
My name is Kylie Cameron and I am excited to assist, support and complement Samantha in the position of Stoney Creek Sabres U18A. Growing up playing hockey for the Burlington Eagles, Burlington Barracudas, and North Halton Twisters at the top level, I developed crucial life skills as well as a passion for the game. In 2016 I received a scholarship to attend SUNY Morrisville in New York State, where I studied Human Performance and Health Promotion and was a member of their NCAA D3 women's hockey program. I had the opportunity to be in a leading position during my senior year. Being the caption allowed me to develop vital skills that were transferable into my coaching career. My coaching career began when I was 15 years old assisting at the No Frills Hockey school in Sudbury, Ontario. I continued my coaching career at Ice to Ice in Oakville, Ontario, and Learn to Play, Learn to Skate with the Mustangs in Morrisville, New York. I have also supported the North Halton Twisters U18AA throughout the past 6 years.
