While the scoreboard sat silent this past Saturday, June 1st, the Stoney Creek Sabres U15, U18, and U22 teams proved that their impact goes far beyond the rink.
June 1 – Hamilton Beach Strip
The Stoney Creek Sabres U15, U18, and U22 teams swapped skates for garbage bags this past weekend, joining Neil Lumsden’s beach cleanup along the Hamilton shoreline.
Under clear skies, players and coaches pitched in to help clean the area, showing that their team culture extends beyond the ice. It wasn’t all work—there was time for laughs, team bonding, and a well-earned ice cream or two.
Big thanks to the Lumsden crew for organizing a great day.
